SYMPTOMS OF HIGH BLOOD SUGAR (GLUCOSE) : HYPERGLYCEMIA
► Increased thirst
► Increased urination
► Increased hunger
► Tiredness or fatigue
► Blurred vision
► Slow healing cuts and sores
► Unexplained weight loss
Some people living with Type 2 Diabetes have no symptoms.
Who should be tested?
SYMPTOMS OF LOW BLOOD SUGAR (GLUCOSE): HYPOGLYCEMIA
► Difficulty paying attention or confusion
► Difficulty speaking
► Shakiness
► Dizziness or light-headedness
► Sweating
► Hunger
► Sleepiness
► Headache
► Sudden moodiness or behavior changes
These symptoms often occur when someone who is being treated for diabetes either:
   1) takes more medicine to lower blood sugar than is needed,
   2) skips a meal when taking medication to lower blood sugar, or
   3) exercises more than usual without eating a snack.
